My work is created from the heart.

Like everybody, my life has been a journey.  From studying design in my late teens, travelling the world through my twenties, and finding my place in the fashion industry in my thirties, while becoming a wife and mother. Now this new adventure into the art world.

Life has its highs & lows; it’s defining moments and its twists and turns.  Throughout it all, the enduring thread in my life has been the expression of my creativity.  Although it’s taken many guises, from the commercial to the personal, creating beauty and visual harmony has always brought me great comfort and joy.

My floral paintings are created intuitively by applying many layers of brightly hued paint in stylised flower formations.  The paint is built up over many sittings with brushes and palette knives to create a richly textured surface. 

These layers are buried beneath a thin wash of black paint which is quickly wiped away while still wet to reveal the organic shapes below.  As the layers are exposed curious and surprising combinations of colour and texture are revealed.
